The Mahawilachchiya Education Centre collaborated with SLASSCOM to start the Techkids training programme for village kids surrounding the Mahawilachchiya area. SLASSCOM stands for Sri Lanka Association of Software Services Companies. Techkids is a 100% free of charge initiative by SLASSCOM to encourage and support tech education in Sri Lanka.
SLASSCOM top officials visited Mahawilachchiya and understood the quality of the education infrastructure as well as willingness of the rural children to learn. Also they understood the ability of our institution to impart knowledge to other villages around Mahawilachchiya.
This training is conducted in two ways, either the facilitators come to the Centre or online. The students who joined the training session which started on 29th April 2023 are shown in these pictures
